Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum. I'm planning to develop an anime website, now I'm looking for video hosting to make my default player. I've considered many hosts such as: RPMShare, Filemoon, Voe, Earnvids, StreamHG,... Can anyone with experience in this field give me some suggestions? Thank you very much everyone
Hey! I’d try Streamtape or Doodstream if you’re looking for something free. But if you're okay with paid options, Vimeo Pro or Wistia are stable choices for big projects. Just make sure they fit your needs!
I'm considering free options because my budget is a bit tight right now. But I've heard a little bad news about doodstream. I have 2 weeks to consider video hosting before launching my site.
Filemoon and Voe get used a lot for this kind of thing, but they can be hit or miss depending on region and uptime. If you're going for better control and less takedown risk, self-hosting with a CDN layer might be worth looking into too.
You’re absolutely right — platforms like Filemoon and Voe are popular options, I see them all over anime sites. But their speeds aren’t great. An RPMShare staff member sent me a link to test their player, and it worked fine. But they’re so new, I couldn’t find any articles or reviews about them. I’m a little hesitant to use them.
In my opinion you should try RPM because this hosting service is quite new, I have never seen it before. Maybe they will have more new features compared to other services
Filemoon’s honestly one of the best picks for anime sites right now. Super fast speeds and rock-solid embeds. Voe’s another solid option if you’re looking for better global CDN coverage, but heads up, takedown risk’s a little higher. RPMShare and StreamHG can get the job done too, just know they might lag or go down a bit during peak hours. I’d definitely recommend using a few different hosts as backups, just to be safe. And for a smoother watch experience, toss in a lightweight player like Plyr.io. Good luck getting your anime site up and running!
