Hey, I recently set up a landing site with all the advice that i Recieved from this forum for a few products that i found on clickbank. I tested the campaign on adwords for a couple weeks, my quality score stayed high and everything was fine technically. However, I realized after spending my time creating the landing page and testing on google that the niche I had selected was much too competitive and I did not have the budget to compete in the niche. I have since researched thoroughly some new niches, however I would like to test the niches before I spend my time building a full new landing site. I have every intention of building a landing site so that i may pre sell my offer and collect emails for future marketing. However, for the time being I would like advice on how some of you guys test new niches for conversions, cpc , and competivness ? While i know that the following are all against google TOS are they acceptable for a few day test : - redirects - direct linking to affil link - i framing Please any advice on how to test new niches would be very helpful. J.
no pros have responded..WHY? we have so many ppc companies and individuals who make a living managing ppc right here..so why over 38 views and no one has touched this yet..........
I'm not a Super Affiliate yet or something like that , I mean, I'm not making 6 figures per month but Im making a decent $xx,xxx/month so the best advice I can give you is TEST, TEST, Test everything, different landing pages , different adgroups, different keywords, write down your results this will help you determine the best strategy for your campaign
thanks for you advice, do you always use landing pages when your testing or do you sometimes just redirect or iframe just to see how a product is for a day ?
"i framing" is against TOS, but the rest of the things that you mentioned are allowed. I've been using direct linking since I started Adwords, and I can say definitely say, that there is nothing wrong with it. Redirect is a bit different. It depends what kind of redirect it is. If you are using simple tinyurl redirect, then obviously your ads will be disapproved. But let's say, if it's a domain redirect for example: www.123.com to www.456.com then you should be ok.
Direct linking is just fine , I have noticed a couple of my campaigns do better WITHOUT a landing page.
It's really quite simple. Go to your affiliate network and take a look at a niche that you are interested in and know something about. Look at the network EPC values. If they are high, it's a good niche to get into. There is ALWAYS room in the big niches. Believe me, nobody is going to hand hold you to big affiliate earnings. You will waste a LOT of money testing on that path but it's more of an investment. PS: I'd stay away from clickbank when starting off. Oh, and stay out of finance products too ;P
Nothing wrong with clickbank at all. Just clickbank products usually always have a lot of competition all with the same landing pages with yellow highlighting (Or else the ads are all "xxxx is a scam, read this before you buy"). There are plenty of other options out there that force you to add value.
