Lets say 1.5mbit is used constantly which would result in ~500GB bandwidth used each month. Hotlink is enabled. How much server power would a image host like this need, RAM and CPU wise? I imagine image host don't need that much CPU power, since it mostly just will be sending image data, although when uploading images server creates thumbnails which takes some cpu I guess. Is a Intel P4 2.4 GHz sufficient for this or is it too slow? Also I'm looking for something like this, dedicated server that allows adult image hosting service. At least 500GB bandwidth. And as of the nature of a image host all pictures can't be controlled if they are copyrighted - The host should not shut me down if copyrighted images, only that they need to be removed if complaint is received
Actually, I'm currently hosted on tmzhosting(proxy), and pretty happy with it. But now I'm starting to get too much traffic now though, which gives me max connection reach error sometimes and it starts to feel a little slow. And the dedicated servers are too big leap for me, not my price range unfortunately
