Hi there all, I need advice from someone with more experience than I have in the buying and selling of websites. I have the opportunity to purchase a 10 year old site (continuous registration, same owner since 1996.) Obviously I am not going to post the url but here are some details to help in valuation: total backlinks are over 5000 (major engines added together) in the sites heyday, traffic over 100,000 uniques in an average month, now about 15000 a month (verifiable) listed in yahoo, multiple listings in dmoz, and other major directories pr6 about 200 pages indexed in google, 450 in yahoo Site topic is humor. How much is such a site worth? I have seen some aged sites sell here for a nice sum, and I am hoping someone can provide me with a ballpark or just an opinion. Are there more factors to consider than one year's worth of site revenue, and how are these valued? Thanks, tasty
