I am building a new website today.

I have no money and I am starting from scratch.

So if someone can explain to me what the best way to make money from my website is, that would be great.

I can put anything on my website, I just need to know the best things.

Like, maybe you know an affiliate program that pays well, or maybe you know a script that helps people enjoy the website. What ever advice you have, I will listen.

    Thanks.

I will have my website up today, but I am just trying to find a free web host that doesn't have ads. If you have free space, maybe you could let me know.

Come up with an idea for your website and start building it. Make sure you do market research to find keyword to target so you can get higher search engine rankings and to make money use affiliate products and adsense.

Ok, thanks. I know a little bit about SEO. I know that I have to put keywords on my pages and things like that. My website will be ready today, but I need some hosting. I am trying to find some with no ads.

Once I make my first money, I will buy a domain also, because I know I have to have a domain. I got told on other forums: get a domain!

Yeah I will if I can AFFORD IT!

I have to start from scratch. I am really broke but I will work hard.

you'll need to experience things way out. This is you first site so just treat it as a learning experience and dont expect much from it.

I am expecting a lot from it, or I wouldn't be making it.

It's not my "first" website. It's the first one where I decided to make money.

I've never been paid for anything I've done for anyone, but I intend to start now.

most important:get a adsense account:) afterwards
    1-find target keywords
2-Seo for your site. (sef urls, tags, metas)
    3-Backlinking your site (toplists,directories,link buying,link exchanging)
4-get a free adwords coupon and use it.

You have to have visitors on your site, who will click on those ads and then you will make money. You don't make money just because AdSense is on your site, people have to click on it. So, make sure you promote the site well and people will start clicking...

Well, it wasn't a very professional site. It had some traffic, but not too much.

I have decided to change all that and start making professional websites.

It depends on the focus of the site as to what will earn you the most money. The top 3 ways to make money, if you don't have a product to sell are (in no particular order):
    1. AdSense
    2. Affiliates
    3. Banners/Selling Ads

Some niches have great affiliate programs with a high conversion, some pay great for AdSense exeriment to see what works best for you and keep in mind there is no reason you cannot do a little of all 3.

I don't like affiliate programs much. I have tried some before and I got STOOGED - royally.

I would really like to make a service where people pay me directly. That way I can't get stooged and I know what's going on.

edit Not trying to promote but the site in my sig didn't stooge me. They've paid me twice before. That's why I put them there. Because it's worth it and I feel safe to promote them. But most affiliate programs never pay.

Why don't you start from blog?
If you having successful blog then you consider forums.
At the blog, you can sell product review, site review, banner ads, link which each of this can give you at least $100/month.

My advice would be whatever you decide to do, make sure your focus is narrow and you are specific and consistent with your content. If you are a blog, blog about something specific and bank on the affiliate and adsense that is related to your content. If you are going to sell products or services, make sure your site is professional and your prices reasonable. Then grow.

You are doing well, actually you know more than us. You've tried adSense and affiliate. As Mentos says - you can start from blog that is free and you can rank your blog very easy (easier than a website).

As you don't have money to buy traffic you need to focus on your SEO. If you succeed to rank your keyword on the first page (keyword with good search result) traffic will come and you can make money.

    Good luck.
