Need advice on creating a website

Hi all,

I am creating a programming website. I am thinking to put links of similiar websites on my articles page. Is it legal? Do I need to get permissions from those websites? For example, My article page will list the number of links with site names (which are not mine). and a small description about that.

Please adivice.

Of course its legal. You can put whatever you like on your site as long as you don't break copyright laws.

Is there any advantages if I put any third party links on my website?

 

Well you could ask that site to link back to you for one, better chance of them saying yes. Otherwise no, there are no real advnatages, unless the links are some sort of referal links.
