I have a 3 years old site, with PR3. It gets first page position for certain keywords on both google & yahoo.

I'm planning a complete site re-design replacing old site with new one.

How will this affect PR & SERPs.. What should I do to ensure that I don't lose the current SERP positioning?

As long as your links to the site, url's, content, meta tags, page title, and internal linking structure is the same, there shouldn't be any problems.

Well, my current site is running on php. I'm planning to move to asp.net. So, obviously the links & page URLs will change.. Any solution to this?

You will probably want to use 301 redirects. You will likely lose your rankings temporarily when you redesign the site. Such drastic changes could make your previous links not count on Google. Google mentioned this situation in their latest patent.

Why do you want to alter it if your keywords are on first page of Google and Yahoo again?
There's no total guarantee you will come back to what you had even if you redirect your pages.
PHP is awesome in my opinion, why you moving to .asp? you think you will be any higher rating?
It doesn't matter if its .asp or .php (unless .asp is a language you can code and you want to convert it to take over in .asp. ) Whats your site URL - so we can see what your SEO and backlinks look like.

PR and search engine placement where your keywords are showing up ..isn't so directly related to eachother anymore. So if you're planning to redo your site for attempts at PR .. you could lose PR on the URL changes, then slowly regain it ..only to have no SERPS. There's many other reasons now for sites to have high -ranking keywords. That's why sites that look like a 2 yr old made them..can still rank super high.
