Need advice, not getting indexed. Tried everything

Ok, I purchased an expired domain in August. Doesn't appear to be a banned domain, looking at the internet archive, it looked pretty bland and not spammy or anything.

so in October, I created a site with it using a database of professional services throughout the country. I know, I probably added too many pages all at once, but what to do with a database like this?

Anyway, I have been trying to get as many backlinks as possible. I have PR4 links, PR3, PR2, PR1, PR0 links pointing to this site. Not all of them directory submissions either, but same niche sites with PR. Even purchased a couple PR5 links.

    I created a sitemap.

I went and logged in to google webmaster. Everything seems to check out find as far as they say. No glaring issues. The site has been CRAWLED regularly for months now. They crawl it all the time. I submitted a re-inclusion, stating that I am a new owner of the domain, just in case it was previously banned for some reason.

To this day, I am still not indexed AT ALL. Not even just the index page, not even supplemental hell. Nothing.

Yahoo, of all places, seems to like my site just fine (more than any other site I have, go figure). They have over 1500 pages indexed and send me some traffic (nothing major)

What gives? I need some help on this one. The few visitors I get occassionally click on my adsense, and it actually pays pretty decent, so I really would like to drive some traffic to this site. Anyone have ideas on what else I can do to get indexed?

I had similar problem until few weeks back. Try google's reinclusion service. Authenticate your website and in a few days your site will be indexed.
    It worked for me.

I have the same problem with a 3 months old site.
I didn't find any answer here, in this forum.
I mean, the answer I got, I had them already: backlinks, sitemap, etc...
I'm still not indexed on Google while I'm in Yahoo...:(

it sounds like google had a problem with that domain before.....you might have to give the reinclusion request some more time....but I must warn you that in my experience, after a reinclusion request is granted....the domain will still not get it full ranking for a while

Hmm Weird, i put new domain online and it gets indexed in less than 72 hrs. I am guessing google has different trends when it comes to old domains.

Submit to some directories whose data used by google, like DMOZ. And if indexed by these big directories, definitely you will be indexed by google. But sorry, DMOZ submission is down now.

I had the same problem with one of my new blogs. It took Google months to actually index it although it crawled it regularly. I submitted for reinclusion and still nothing. All of a sudden, bam! there it was...

    jdR!pper - the url is todayssmile.com

Kaediem - I have adsense on it, and when I get traffic from Yahoo, the adsense pays well.

sonisoni - good suggestion. I'll be working on this next.

decodethis - when you finally did get indexed, did G index many of your pages, or just the homepage? How was the traffic after that from SERPS?

    *********
Offer - anyone that can give me good backlinks to this site, and deep links as well, I will give them 3 links in return from 3 other PR3 sites that I have.

I'd like to see how well getting multiple backlinks really effects inclusion.

Please vary the keywords, but feel free to make up your own based on what you think they should be. PM me with the link and your link info for my other sites. I will reply to PM's with info on my other sites that you will have links on.

Hmm..... Try linking to related, high PR and high ranking sites. These are often crawled so your site might get indexed after their backlink update. Then I see that the only link to your inner pages is through the drop down menu. I don't think google will crawl your inner pages through this. Try to add a side menu bar that will link to these inner pages (anchor texts).

Then do it again and again till they index it.
Whats the worst they can do? Not index you? your already their.
Re-add the site explain thats its still not indexed and you humbly request inclusion.

Sombody mentioned getting a few PR6 + links... good idea as low level links are not worth the agravation somtimes unless you have like 200 pages then its probably worth it. also try to get your links on a few forums so you get some mega indexing done.

    thx

yeah, I had text links to all the inner pages up until just a week ago, but decided to put some content there for the search engines to eat instead. I did some research and found that the drop down menu was easily crawled by the SE's since they have the link in the html code. Having all of the text links in addition to the drop down didn't do me any good either, in fact it probably looked like over kill.

I will try the linking out to high pr related sites.
