I need some advice as to what is going on with one of my sites.
    The site is www.how-to-tie-a-tie.org

This morning I did a search for one of my terms on yahoo "instructions how to tie a tie" and it pulled up in my usually #9 position a site that is an exact copy of ours but the url is www.yescallback.com

I've emailed to contact on the whois explaining that they had to remove.. bla bla etc. and email yahoo since the domain was registered with them.

What is going on here. I feel so violated.
    Please help me.

Looks like the offender is a member of the co-op network too...

Actually we were running the co-op last month when we were on another server and since we switched servers we were unable to run the adds.

I've heard back and he stated that the site is still underconstruction what materials are you refering to. If you go to www.yescallback.com it is our site but if you go to http://yescallback.com it shows under construction page.

Well, they should be removed from the co-op asap. Contact MSN, Yahoo! and Google and let them know. That is pretty shameful. They didn't change the keywords, meta info, design or image names... I mean, how many people are going to name an image nav_r4_c2.gif?

Not much you can do... send a cease and desist, contact their ISP, contact the big 3 SE's, have them removed from the co-op network...

Figured it out. Some how Yahoo set the cname to point to our old server. which my partner didn't cancel yet. The tie site was default on it.

Sometimes I can get freaked out really quick and jump the gun.

    Thanks.

I once registered a domain name and didn't have a chance to upload anything to it for a couple of weeks - when I did start to develop I found that there was a website up for that domain name I was livid - someone stole my domain name - I started emailing and calling and threatening etc - hah

Turns out the stiupid hosting company charged me for a domain name that had been registered for 5 years and was NOT available. Sheesh - I called back the site owner and apologized a million times - and switch registrars (of course) but I felt pretty silly about not figuring it all out sooner ;)
