i owned a site named www.newelectronicgadget.com and at the moment its under construction and using cms template(joomla), im thinking of doing a news site about new gadget but i wanted to use an rss feed and it will automatically added to my index page but no idea how to do it as im new with using the rss feed.Any advice what to put on my site and how rss add to the site so it will automatically add any news to my index page.thanks in advance
Mm I'd suggest that you use Wordpress instead for your site. If it's only about news , reviews and stuffs, you'd rather go for a blogging system rather than a "full site" CMS system like Joomla... Wordpress has built-in RSS thingie
try reading this i found it on joomla forums and is something i sorta used to set up my joomla site. The end part is important you really have to change Title and description... There are about 802.000 Joomla Syndication URLs in Google that say that they are a Joomla! Powered website.... and also the part about feedburner if you like you can visit my joomla site ( link below ) to see how i set up joomla. Sorry i do not mean to say mine is the best joomla site, but you can see how basic you can have it. I used mojoblog ( a free basic joomla blog which is based on WP ) for the blog page and you can get the RSS link with this. Joomla is a great free product with numerous components and modules for every situation. SH404sef is a SEO component which will also help you.
thank you guys for your reply, yes WP is ok but im much know about joomla.anyway if i can't figure out using joomla i will have a try using WP.Hopefully this time i can start putting some feeds with my new site.Thanks guys
