Start SEM and SEO together. Get traffic using SEM initially and subsequently start the SEO campaign. Eventually slow down the SEM activities and concentrate on the organic traffic.

Set up your opt-in page and autoresponder messages including monetization with recommendations to products that solve the relevant problems of your subscribers. Use techniques such as Forum marketing, Safelists and giveaway events to get your list started up to 300-500. Then you can build your list faster with ad swaps and JVs. Cheers
