you know how the saying goes if it sounds too good to be true...

guys I think I found a two year old/pr7 domain on ebay - and it's currently bidding at one cent. anyone know why it can be going so cheap?

what should I be looking out for. here

I'd take it for a cent as well, but just be ready for the PR to disappear with the next update...

Yep it will loose pr very quickly - i bought a couple of sites from ebay earlier this year and both dropped - ALSO ... I was just outbid on a pr8 domain ... went for about 800$ - thankfully i didn't win as the pr dropped to PR2 within a month, I do keep my eye on it still, and today is a pr4! (just checked) :D

    1. check for fake pagerank
    2. check for pagestrength
    3. check for backlink

if everything is legit, i will go ahead

its starting out as a cent. But when the auction comes closer to its end im' sure many other people will start bidding and it will go higher and higher. But if no one else bids and you loose a cent big deal. If a cent even a dollar fell out of your car while your driving i doubt u'll park and go find that cent or dollar, so just go for it. If the bidding starts getting high check the back links the pr on a pr checking site. If its all good then go for it still.

Some times some site's pr have been hijacked so be careful about that issue to. After you buy you may see it's pr fall to pr 0. Generally a pr 7 domain wouldn't be sold below 10k USD.

Now I don't want any further debate on PR and all stuffs. What market shows I have said that. Please don't argue about PR with me. :)

This is where you need to be careful. Most PR for website builds from backlinks, if a site is taken down and is just a domain now then backlinks with start disappearing hence a PR drop.

A lot of people try to pawn off their domain prior to a PR drop on unsuspecting victims.
