Need Advice! Also, some tips for newbies like me

    Well, I'm getting into affiliate marketing and since I'm a native spanish speaker, I'd like to try promoting clickbank products "en español".

    So... I got into the marketplace, and the first I notice is that the TOP spanish clickbank product has a gravity of 32, and there aren't many over 20 too.

    So, my queston is... Is it worth it? I know that gravity isn't all, but if those are the ones with the most sales, I'm a little worried.

    The good thing is, I've doing some research and most of the competition either doesn't have a proper landing page for their ppc campaigns, doesn't cloak links and mostly tries to spam their way into the sales page.

    If someone has some experience with the spanish market, tips will be appreciated.

    Now, the tips for newbies (Most of you should know them but I've learned the hard way)

    Don't use PPC directly to the affiliate links. Google doesn't like duplicate domains in their campaigns and it will penalize the quality score to 1/10

    Don't use broad match terms since you will eat your PPC budget very fast.

    And try to stick to search results only (forget about content) since it converts the best.

    I would say you have it down pretty well except for the content network assertion.

    Some of my best PPC campaigns have been from content network traffic and it can be powerful indeed. Good advice for a new affiliate is to create two campaigns - 1 for only the search network and 1 for only the content network.

    See what converts better and go from there.

    You've a real advantage over the other marketers on this one-if you see genuine potential and a way to implement it, I don't see why you shouldnt go ahead with what you want to do. See what the most common demand is amongst this demographic you're familiar with and whether you can provide it for them. This could in time mean the creation of your very own product for this category.

    @MedicAffiliate :)

    I think that Latin America as a market has yet to mature in terms of consumer access to digital goods and direct affiliate marketing (just look at how many article sites are in spanish, or if there's even a squidoo-like site), so getting a head start is still possible in clickbank among others. I've been considering for some time on making my own product(s) since there aren't many in spanish on affiliate sites like clickbank, on any category. Also, in some way I have an advantage on writing content in spanish, since my girlfriend is a master in linguistics and spanish literature, so at least if the content isn't good, it will be well written and it won't have errors.

    @Capler

    Well, you are right. Long time ago I used to make MFA sites and content ads were good, but in my experience I've always had better results with search engines rather than content. I think I will take another look once I decide on what to promote @ clickbank (or not use it at all).

    I don't know if you've seen this, but there are products for those looking to acquire an american citizenship, something I think would work well for the market you want to approach, or atleast similar products that give people an occupation, societal status or useful info for daily use (saving money, etc.) This isn't meant to be insulting, I just assume their priorities are different from the majority demographic we target with clickbank products.

    Also, with your background you could easily become a digital product authority of sorts in that market, or atleast make a killing with specialized spanish content creation-it doesn't get much more impressive than a linguistics and literature master :)

    Thanks, I will give it a try as soon as I have some time.

    As for now...

    I think I will start with a paid surveys (in spanish) campaign and give clickbank affiliate program a try.

    Should I get domains like "examplesurveysonline.info" (for "ExampleSurveys.com promotion) or it would be better to buy a domain like "Survey.cc" (with a cost of 10 .info domains) and direct ads to examplesurveys.survey.cc or survey.cc/examplesurvey ?
