I've got an ex girlfriend that screwed my life up pretty bad. that's years ago, I decided to blog about it, and the girl called serverbeach where my server is, and demanded I take it down. I gave only her first and last name. no city, address, phone number or anything else. just a name. they actually forced me to remove the post. In the first place, the whole story is sorted and it goes back a long way. I refrained from posting until i was about a year separated from her. but she's stalked me for 4 years now. (i stopped accepting her calls in 2002 actually). So is there a host that won't weaken like shitty coffee and protect my first amendment rights to free speech? I bought server space at 1and1 today but I'm told it takes over 24 hours just to get a receipt. So i cancelled. I have to move this site today, but I'm not going to bow down. I just need a host that might be reputable and have a set of balls to tell them to pack sand when she calls. I don't think there's much use in someone who's renting servers to answer, i need to know the provider. I"M the hosting company that owns the server this site is on. But when the provider demands it or threatens to shut you down, what do you do?
