    Hey...
i am looking for a plugin or a code that helps me to EXCLUDE a post from the frontpage
so it won't be on the frontpage .. BUT it will appear in it's category...

i Found some plugins that Exlude a category from the frontpage...so i can put the posts in it ..and they will be Excluded...
well i don't want this... i want to exclude some posts only...
so i found a tutorial and here it is

    http://www.solo-technology.com/blog...her-way-to-exclude-posts-from-the-front-page/

in fact i added those 2 lines... but when i add EXCLUDE in the post ... the post doesn't appear in the frontpage BUT ALSO doesn't appear in the Category...
and the thing is that i have a file called archive.php
    what should i do
    can anyone help :D?
    thanks

Ok, that article warned that the index.php file is often used for more than one purpose. Obviously, your index.php, because of the theme you are using, is also called when Wordpress calls a category page.

He doesn't explicity say it in the article, but you could copy that "index.php" file (BEFORE making your changes) to a file called "category.php". THEN make the copies to the index.php file. You see, the template heirarchy will look for category.php before looking for archive.php.

If this works, gimme some of that sweet rep juice ...

I have no idea if it'll work for him, but that is the correct logic behind Wordpress so I'm going to rep you anyway.
