need a suggestion about XML sitemaps

    hi,
    I have recently edited my XML sitemap manually, and uploaded on my website. should I resubmit to google webmaster tools? Or what can I do to aware search engine that i have updated my sitemap.

    Yes you have to resubmit it on Google webmaster tool. There is available this facility.

    Do you mean just ping? If so then definitely. If you are already setup and verified in GWT then unless you made major changes (or fixed sitemap errors) then I would not bother.

    If you have identified your site map with Google, Google should automatically pick up the sitemap. You could identify your site map file in your robots.txt file.

    you submit sitemap in same name .if you create site map not same name your site map not verified .
