Promote your domain name right and you'll be a serious competitor to sites like tinyurl. Nice things with tags... If you're using tags, consider a tagcould-like section with listing of all sites marked with that tag. Would be helpful for visitors to scan the available links.
I really like your site. It's a great domain for a start (you prob know this). I think your site is simple and clean which will hopefully lead to people returning. I also like the idea of a custom tag. I also own a shorten url site (changeurl.net) which i'm currently selling. - not that there's anything wrong with the whole short url market just that i ahve no time for it so dnt let this put you off. I say go for it! advertise, advertise, advertise!
