I am looking for a programmer with experience in real estate websites and IDX/MLS stuff. I will design the site, but want you to walk me through the steps needed in order to get you to finish the site! For example, where to find the MLS for the agent's city, what questions to ask the IDX provider, which data listing options to use, etc. I am new to this, so will need your consultation, as well.

Must be available on MSN/AIM and have experience with these types of jobs.

Please PM an idea of your rates! THanks.

With regards just to the MLS/IDX feed... If you want a custom IDX solution try Transparant Technology

Transparent Technology is Open-Realty which is the defacto open source standard for online IDX solutions.

Good luck fighting with each agent's Board of Realtors. If you get the board to give access to the ftp data of the MLS; more power to you.

We ended up with an outsource solution and just frame the MLS/IDX from the vendor.
