hey, that's what I have charged straight accross the board. However it does not mean that I am not open to negotiate that price...I am new at the price thing but it's worked so far for me. I am a businessman and always look to work things for other people...if georgeb thinks its too much I will be more than happy to drop it!

I say do it - do it well - and do it for a price that makes sense for you and the client Let the pro's worry about market devaluation.
You should try doing a logo contest! I've participated in them before and you can get a ton of submissions and then you get to pick the one you like and pay what you offered. I'm currently participating in one on another forum and I've submitted 9 logos in 3 days and will probably throw in another 2 or 3 before the contest ends tonight. Anyway, there are a few samples on my logo page at http://www.kaediem.com I'm still new at doing this for profit (rather than fun) so there isn't much there other than samples I've done for some other contests but you'll get the picture I guess. I agree...being that I am new to these forums as well as new to the web/graphic design world I am sure there are those out there who charge differently and do it all a different way. I am learning as I go and it's cool sharing insight here with people. I am more than happy to do a logo for anyone that wants one and price really isn't an issue.
