If you try to create a brand, then remove the rose. I'd choose a more serious font. And I think shadow should be gone too. No need
much more better than the first version keep working, you may want to check some logo competition websites.
I'm guessing the O and the S have a big part, maybe it's a computer OS business? Otherwise the O and S shows me two big letters that have no direct focus meaning. Also, if you have the time and accuracy, just notch up the font yourself, make it more solid and less scratch. The shadow isn't working either, might decrease the distance a tiny fraction?
Changed the font...made that O smaller ... looking for some more advice Oh and...the company is an internet hosting company. The site is rosehost.net . Do you think I should include de .net extension in the logo as well?
I would include the .net in perhaps in some smaller font imo. Also it looks grainy or something to me. Not quite sure why. I didnt see the previous look so I cant really compare the first one to this one.
I don't like the bevel. It sticks out too much, you got the colours right though, keep workign on it. Maybe look at sites like logopond or somthing for inspiration.
I agree with Cheesy, perhaps replace the O in host with the O in Rose to be a flower on fire or something?
I would add some type of image element. The first one is too blurred but what about adding some type of winding rose through the name?
^ MayaLocke, that's a great idea. A wrapping vine around the text would be hard but simply awesome! Maybe it could be computerised or something.
Personally, I think the beveling looks very cheap. Don't be afraid to keep your logo simple! Pick a nice font, and forget about the fancy effects and filters. The colors are good though - red and black work very well together.
Have you done a design with the O the same size in both words? I like it but I think you have a little ways to go!
