Tor is entirely too slow and the exit nodes pose potential risks in that they can be running a tcpdump (packet sniffer) and I would never know. I had an account with Xerobank but I was never able to connect and their "help" desk is not answering support tickets. I have also see a letter that Blacklogic wrote to a former customer saying they would turn over log files on that user to the RIAA for his using their service for p2p. Make no mistake about it, I will not be using p2p in any way. My problem with Blacklogic is that they falsely advertise that they do not store logs. I need an alternative to Xerobank. A VPN that allows me to completely anonymize my traffic and not save logs. A service not based in US, UK, or Canada that has a process in place to deal with and thwart subpoenas from government agencies. Any ideas? Google is just not being any help on this.
Set up your own private server on an offshore VPS. 10-20 $ a month is not oo bad for a secure, your own private proxy. Vanessa
There is no such thing. Someone always knows who you are and what your traffic is. Push come to shove any business is going to turn over records on you before going bust themselves. Even going off shore is no guarantee as you don't know who's running the hosting company. They see all your unencrypted traffic. You have no idea what they are doing with it. The copyright holders are running honeypot sites all over the world. You have no way of knowing which vpn site, hosting site or whatever is run or reporting to whom.
