Hey everybody, I'm looking for a new logo for my blog, Kirby on Finance (http://www.kirbyonfinance.com). Naturally, the background color needs to be the same as seen on the blog, but I'm open to using different colors for the rest of the logo. **All I want the logo to say is "Kirby on Finance"** So, do not include the "Can this stuff really be that difficult?" Otherwise, feel free to use different images and icons if you feel it'll make the logo look better and they're money/finance related. Additionally, I would like a Favicon made to match the logo, so what I'm thinking is the current background color and the letter "K" but if you use a particular image/icon in the logo, that might look good in the favicon instead of the letter "K". I intend to leave the thread open at least until Monday morning - October 27, 2008. I will pay the individual who submits to me the logo and favicon that I pick $30 via PayPal within 24 hours of me selecting their submission. Thank you so much! Naturally, i'll offer feedback in this thread and via PM if necessary. Take care, Kirby
hi wkirby, w are glad to know that you need a logo 7 for that you chose DP, but do it on contests thread . you will get good response there . good luck.
Hey guys, Sorry I didn't post this in the contests thread, but I was unable to do so because I recently signed up for the site. However, i'm still looking for a logo! Thanks!
then I would recomend you to decide on a designer and then describe him what your looking for this will save both sides a lot of time
Thanks for the advice Sensei.Design. I've gotten a lot of really great submissions so far, so I think the specificity I offered in my original post has worked well, but I will take your advice for any future design needs I may have.
Hello Sir, I have good Knowledge and Experience in Graphic designing, if you dont mind, may i know your current Website theme looks? and what is the size of banners and footers? Sincerely, S Prathees
Hey Everybody, I wanted to let everyone know that I have picked the new logo for my blog. Thanks to all who contacted me and submitted logo's for consideration. I have several websites that I'm developing, so I may be in contact with some of you in the future. Again, I truly do appreciate those who submitted logo's to me for consideration. As a side note, Sensei, I do appreciate the constructive criticism you offered earlier in this thread, but I found your last post to be a bit much. Inoxhost made a post to clarify whether of not I was still accepting submissions. Presumably he did so in hopes that he could earn $30. Unfortunately, you attempted to "help" Inoxhost by saying, "did you read the post above your's?? he said he got some great results, so it'S closed i suppose" First, your grammar leaves something to be desired, which I think may explain the rudeness of your comment as well as the inaccurate advice you gave to someone who was simply trying to use the design creativity to make some extra money. Since I'm sure Inoxhost read the post above his, it's pretty clear that you did not. Let me help you. In the post I said, "I've gotten a lot of really great submissions so far." You see, when someone uses the phrase, "so far" - they're saying "up until this point" or "up until the present time." So, when I said that I had gotten a lot of really great submissions so far, clearly I was in no way indicating that the opportunity to submit a logo had "closed." Here's a further illustration to help drive the point home. Let's say I was watching a baseball game and you asked me, "Have the Yankees scored yet?" I might answer, "So far they haven't." What would that mean? It would mean that up until that point, they had yet to score . . . not that the game was over and they failed to score. Again, I'm sure you're just trying to help the DP community and in that case you were trying to help Inoxhost as you attempted to do so for me earlier in this thread. However, I suspect that (taken into context with your other posts in this thread) were wanting to express your disdain towards me for how I worded my original post. Truthfully, it doesn't matter to me what your personal feelings are about the post, but I do hope that you didn't dissuade Inoxhost (or others) from submitting a design that could have earned him $30. Best wishes.
