Hello, I need to get a new ip adress, but the guides I found all do not work. I don't know what to say to the isp because they just ask too many questions! I don't want to look like I'm doing something bad or wrong. I've been having ip conflicts off and on for a while now. Please help

The only way I know of to get one is through your ISP. Give them a call and state you just need a new IP address, and your reasons are none of their business. If they want to play ball, don't be afraid to get ugly. Tell them if they can't give you one you are going to have to switch ISP's. They usually start singing a different tune about then :D

If you are having IP conflicts then you should call up your ISP and tell them about it. IP conflicts occur when 2 or more ppl use the same IP. i am sure your ISP will assist you on this. Hope it helps :)

You're not running any sort of internal network at home, are you? Multiple computers hooked up to a cable or DSL modem?

It may be a local hardware problem over an ISP one.

What type on connection are you running? DSL? Cable? Most services will supply you with a new IP address if you disconnect the cable or wire connection, wait 5-15 minutes and rehook up.
