I have a website that I want to take advertisers on, what is the best way to do this. Should I sale individual ads? What is cpm and how much do these pay? What about cpc advertising? I just want to weigh my options and see where the most money would be at.
What exactly is adsence? If my site were to go large enough, do I go out and get sponsers or how does all of this work. I am still very new to this and curious
Adsense is google's program which put ads on your content pages and pays you if your visitor click on that ad. Check googls advertiser section for details. getting sponsor is good idea but it depend upon your site and site traffic.
ok, will I have to recode my site for the adsence items or is that all automatic? Also where do I go to sign up for the adsense? I have searched it and found where I can advertise with it but not where to accept it on my site
You don't have to recode your site to use adsense. Go to www.google.com/adsense and signup. After your site is approved from google get adsense code (its very small code) and add that code where you want to place add. its very simple.
Easy way to get approval is create a blog on blogger.com and join adsense through blogger after posting some posts.
almost certainly more with clicks. the ads shown are automatically related to your site's topic, and on topic ads get clicked. The amount of clicks will depend on how well you place the ads (google has suggestions on best ad placement, usually upper left corner or at least above the fold, first viewed) but you will likely get clicks. If the topic is valuable enough the clicks could be quite lovely. You could experiement though. You're allowed 3 adsense blocks on a page. Make two of them text only, 1 of them impression (allow image ads)... see what does better.
