Need a help - Issue on SSN and US based paypal account

I have a US based paypal account when I was in US. However I was not in US anymore (for more than 1 year) and I am not citizen or permanent residence. I do have a social security no. The US based paypal asked to provide the SSN no.

My question is: should I input my social security no.? I really don't want to have tax confusion. Another question is: do I have to pay US tax if I continue to use my US based paypal?

Thanks for your help and green rep will be given for those who helps.

If the issue is trust, PayPal is a registered global company so they will not resell your SSN or private information.
You don't need to pay any taxes for the US based PayPal if you enter your SSN, it is just required for identification purposes :)
