As you may have seen I am currently marketing http://www.SimpleFreelance.com Part of this includes running a $100 contest on the site. The problem is, it's a bit of an egg and chicken thing. I've have a few freelancers sign up, but no webmasters. Any ideas how I can get webmasters to post up projects? I thought the $100 contest and the fact it was free to list would have encouraged webmasters to post up a project, but no... Any suggestions will be appreciated Thanks Ryan
Seems like you need to differentiate yourself from the other similar sites - guru.com, rentacoder.com, scriptlance.com, etc. Why should someone come to you instead of them? Promote that angle and you'll be in business.
I did try and play on the 'simple' angle with the 3 step bits on the site. Any ideas on an angle that would work?
This might not make a difference, but when i went to the sign up page the text "Click here to register for your SimpleFreelance Webmaster account ! " didn't stand out, i thought it was just regular text and i looked to the left for the sign up...but then again maybe its just me.... Also have you done a press release?
