Need A Good Video Editing Program

I've been searching for a real good video editing software for some time. I found a good one called VIDEOCHARGE but it keeps crashing on me. I'd prefer something free. Please don't recommend windows movie maker.....

I'm getting frustrated with this whole situation and hope one of you can help. This is what I need:

-> A program possesses a wide range of capabilities, which enables to perform any operations with bulk of video files by one click! Nice but Not Mandatory

-> Split audio and video files into smaller parts, join a few media files into a single one, extract or delete scenes, create thumbnails for video files, add watermarks to video and image files, process sequences of images. Must Have

-> Convert to FLV formats Must Have

Thanks in advance for your kind help!

There are lots of decent + cheap video programs out there but no good + cheap programs (my brother did video editing for years). I'd suggest getting a decent cheap program that does MOST of what you need and then get a few side programs (prolly find these for free) to handle the rest.

Do you know the program your brother was using for his video editing? Anyone else got any suggestions? Thanks

Check out Sony Vegas, Adobe Premiere (they do a budget version 'elements' I think) and there's iMovie for Macs which is like Windows Movie Maker but slightly more pro.

    Hope that helps

Thanks for all your help guys. I'll check them out. Does anyone know what the best Adobe program is for editing video? I see there's after effects and premiere. They seem to do the same thing. What's the difference?

it's pretty easy to add an effects on your videos with after effects..search Youtube for After Effects tutorial and adobe premiere tutorials..you will know why those softwares are different..

I've been using Adobe Premiere and the result is really good. But you need good performance for your PC if you want to run that softwares..If not..it's take forever to render all the files...

and now..I will try Adobe After Effects to make some good effect for my video like video presentation effects like Hollywood movies..:D

Premiere is a more of a linear editor with the idea of editing at the forfront and effects second. After Effects concentrates on effects and editing second - they talk to each other and many people have both running alongside each other.

Download a trial version of adobe premiere from adobe.com. They are free fully functional versions of the software that work for 30 days. If you like it you can buy an older version for around 100 dollars, which is a steal.
