I have a custom script that will import listings from craigs list. It is a wordpress plugin written in php and the way it works is you have to paste in the url of the search from craigslist ( example http://sfbay.craigslist.org/search/cto?query=no+title&srchType=T&minAsk=100&maxAsk=&hasPic=1) into a import box and select what category you want to import the data to and hit submit and it will import the listing. I need to automate this process so every so many days it will run this import and get the new listings. I would also like to find a way to avoid duplicate imports so it will check and make sure it is not importing the same listings again. If anyone things they can do this let me know and I can give you more info.
Also looking for something similar but cant open a thread please shoot me a PM if you can also help me: Have a site with about 600,000 files and need to start blasting out emails to the domains of our registrants (double opted in of course ) and now we want a developer to help us create a script to scrape our opt ins information which we never stored so that we can start emailing them our newsletter at a pace of 100-500 emails a day on a new server we just purchased.
