I'm so sick of tutorials on web. They all go along the lines, how to do this, how to do that but not one actually explains you what the tools are for and what do they do. Shouldn't that be how you get started instead of just starting to working with tools you don't understand? So basically, I'm looking a for a tutorial that explains the basics. What the toolbox tools do, navigation tools, all that. Is it possible to find something that logical online?
I don't know if any site offers such tutorials but you need to buy a good photoshop book and it will give you much more than what you need. Then you start using tutorials and other things online. This is how I learned.
While installing Photoshop , install Manual, help files and related help things. I think that will give all the basic things you need to learn about the tools. Best Regards, Nirmal
lynda.com are probably the best online training library I have seen. I have learn a lot with Lynda's Video: Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, Css and many more... All the best,
