I am using Penguinhost. Pretty cheap with decent options, however, I am having problems with them on uploading my BANS files. What is a good host?
Depends really on your requirements. How many sites you are putting on there, subdomains required, databases required whether you have large amounts of visitors e.t.c. Pretty hard for anyone to recommend you with the information you provided, I recommend you google for user web hosting reviews or something...
Why not try HostGator, BlueHost of LunarPages and perhaps use your own Affiliate link from CJ, if thats allowed.
I agree with the recommendations of checking out HostMonster, Bluehost, HostGator, and Lunarpages thus far. I have an IX account and it is OK lately but I will not be renewing when my plan is up.
I also have BlueHost and HostGator - they are good too. I like HostMonster the most because you can buy additional domains for just $10 with privacy included (cheaper than going through GoDaddy)
I used HostGator for a while and they were fine until the email server stopped working one day. They were confused and couldn't fix the problem, first telling me there was no problem, then another story about a server change, then another how it was fixed when it wasn't. After three days of back and forth with their support I had to move to another hosting service. Your mileage may vary, but based on my experience I would avoid HostGator.
Why does nooned like godaddy?? The only thing I don't like about hostmonster and the others is you have to make a 2 year commitment for the best price. Anyone know any good cheap hosts thats offers good prices, with low commitment? Godaddy seems to offer this but everyone is saying its bad can anyone else confirm that godaddy is bad hosting service?
