need a favor: ai to png

    I need a favor

    I have an Illustrator file, but not Illustrator. Is there someone with Illustrator to whom I can email the file, save it as a PNG file, and email it back?

    also, try opening the .ai file in Inkscape and seeing if you can import or edit the file. I've had some limited success with this in the past. If somebody is saving these files FOR you from illustrator, pean them also towards delivering a PDF, or an SVG in the future, and you should have an easier time opening them.

    Try opening in Adobe Reader, late version ai files have a pdf preview.
