I'm currently hosted with 1&1.com and am more than happy with them (costs, features, relaibility, support etc) but........ I need to move one website to the USA as the target audience is the USA market and its a struggle to hit the top Google rankings (1&1 is located in Germany). What I need is: Great reliability Superb support PHP/Mysql/mod-rewrite Your personal recommendations would be very welcome.

Hi Will Thanks for the recommendation - from your comment it would appear that you use hostdrive for a number of different sites and so your recommendation has weight. I've taken a look at their website and their "tour" - they look small (esp. when compared with 1&1) - does this phase you at all?
I've heard some good things about http://www.jodohost.com. They support PHP, Mysql not sure about the third requirment though.
Not at all, because I get great support and because I know that their network is designed well. And if anything were to go wrong, I could complain to the company president.

I would also recommend Mia's service. Alive Directory is hosted there. Very prompt and helpful any time help is needed with anything. Aside from that, HostGator is another good service.
