Need a creative idea to market a hydroponic company

Hydroponic company...plant nutrients, grow lights, ph and tds testing, timers, pest control, growing rooms, and growing mediums...

Now, SEO is fine... i need a creative marketing idea... like a special where if you buy the newest product out you get something from old inventory (which they think isn't old) but just something that hasn't sold well...

    or, adding testimonials.

even more, maybe cross promoting with some other types of companies?

-- Can you guys help? I really need some new ideas for this company...

Thanks again... you guys helped out big on my last question!

I've also got a hydroponics-oriented site (content/Adsense, no products yet) and I think that bundling an old product is a great idea. Cross-promoting with companies offering related products should also work pretty well.

I'm not sure testimonials would help too much with this market. Most visitors to hydroponics sites either already know what products they need or they're just looking for growing tips.

Offering tie-in products or bonuses would probably be the best way to go, especially consumables. Hydroponic supplies can get expensive, so a free bottle of nutrients or some growing material might get someone to purchase from your site instead of a competitor.

why dont you two work together?

So visitors to LazySEO site gain the opportunity to buy products offered on MarketingManOnlines site ... and some form of commission as payment?

Might be best dicussing it via personal messages.

There is also linkbuilding that you can do - directory submissions and article submissions (obviously that will be building links but not necessarily targeting customers directly, moreso raising your website presence in SERPs which should bring in more organic traffic).

Onsite promotions like you said - shifting 'dead stock' by associating it with a better selling product can be useful if both are compatible enough. The ultimate aim to clear out dead stock or slow moving stock while building up inventory of good selling stock.

I would recomend making posts and generating a presence in gardening/growing forums. many of them have very loyal users
