Hi folks I'm looking for a CMS taht I can use with my speech software. I'm totally blind and most screen reader have a problem with java driven mouse overs that open up a menue, example, the Joomla admin panel. so, I'm looking for a CMS that is accessible through it's admin centre through links and nothing else. I've actually found one at www.qnecms.co.uk but there's a price tag on the licence and it doesn't offer ability to add shopping cart, banner or advert programs or forum facilities. However, it does generate fully accessible and compliant code throughout and the user interface is fully accessible for me. Any suggestions? Cheers Darren
I didn't try it but there is Plume CMS, you can find it here: http://pxsystem.sourceforge.net It's open source and claims to be fully accessible. Hope it does help.
I'm not sure if it meets all your needs, but I suggest Drupal at www.drupal.org. I have researched a number of open-source CMS products and this is the very best. I currently use it for a number of web sites of different types. Good luck.
Hi all Thanks for the responses. In the end I went for WNE CMS... it's a CMS that is fully accessible and web standards compliant, both at the front end and back end, and does what it says on the tin Further details can be found at www.qnecms.co.uk Thanks again Darren
