    Hi,

I have a small book publisher that setup affiliate type partnerships with a few people and assigned them each a unique code...

    i.e. Aff1 Aff2 Aff3, etc.

Right now we are taking paypal payments only but need to switch to a real shopping cart and take other payments as well as paypal.

The deal is that right now the buyer selects from a dropdown box which affiliate he is buying from so we know who to credit. Not very smart yes I know.

What I want to do is to give each affiliate a special url like
    cart.php?AffiliateID=1

etc etc... And then have it keep this affiliate id number throughout the checkout process and then tell us in the admin side how many orders from affiliate one, two etc.

Can you help me brainstorm on this one... how can I accomplish this without custom coding something into a shopping cart app. Id like to use off the shelf apps so to speak. And open source is best!

    Thanks in advance.
    Matt

If you need, open source, then Zeuscart is the right choice to fix the issue. Try it.

Tomatocart is free to download too.

You may refer to its free template first to see whether it fits.

osCommerce is a good one. I've been using it for more than a year. It doesn't has a lot of features, but if you want to expand its functionality it is better to use some additional software. You can find a lot of them in internet. I bought a Store Manager for osCommerce and it works good for me!
