Contest Need $30 KICKASS new header for iPhone World

Hey all,

It's this time of the year again, we're moving to a newer Wordpress template.

As such we need a new KICKASS.header for the new template.

Our site is iPhone World - www.iphoneworld.ca . You can see the current header there for an idea of what we'd like to see.

Now, this is important.....

This is the new theme we'll be using: http://www.studiopress.com/demo/church.html

The header that needs to be replaced is once again at http://www.studiopress.com/demo/church.html . It's only a 300x100 sized .png file that has to match the overall theme colours and be KICKASS.

What needs to be included: the header has to have text saying "iPhone World" in bold.

Difficulty level: not allowed any copyrighted images/logos from Apple (yup, we already got in trouble with their legal dept. over this and trust me it's not a pretty thing). e.g. Apple's logo in header would mean your entry is disqualified.

Contest duration: 72 hours, or until I see the ONE KICKASS header design

Paymentt: $30 via Paypal.

You're welcome to submit as many entries as you want, but I will only select only the most quaity entry.

They are all 100*300 but that looks awful small. If they are too small, I'll happily resize. I'll also be happy to add more font choices and/or upload the .PSD

I'd love to get some feeback also

Sorry mate, you missed the header location. It should replace the part that says "Church Themes" - the upper part you replaced has no relation to the actual logo But I like the overall idea!

 

The "iphone world" text looks too small in comparison to the vertical iphone photo, don't you think? Try to maybe make the text font bigger so it could compete with the banner spot nearby?

 

Firstly, there's no need for "introducing iphone 4" part, since we're not an official site or anything like that, so we don't introduce anything else

But can you replace that text (introducing iphone 4) with: " 24/7 Breaking News, Reviews, Opinions." with slightly bolder font?

That could be fairly nice I think.

 

Noted, thank you. Maybe try some different color variations for it, though?

 

Sorry, this one falls under "don't use images from Apple" difficulty rule for this assignment I outlined in my original post.

Namely all iPhone apps icons -like the ones you used in the logo - are copyrighted by Apple. Using them in my header would leave us an open target for Apple's lawyers.

As such I can't accept this entry, sorry

I just want to make sure that no copyrighted images are used in this?

 

I will update my design in a few... Personally, I like mine and Vinpkl's work over your favorite Ours looks more marketable and official.
