This is not a race, quality not quantity and remember, each must be 5 minutes a part and we do check.

Sorry pc_user! I thought that you were saying that they do not have to be five minutes apart, they just have to be quality if they are not so that it does not look like I am a complete spammer.

May you please tell me why I cannot post once every two minutes? Or could you please raise the flood control up to five minutes just so that I am aware of how long I have to wait? I am very sorry!

I'll never understand why this concept eludes most people. In any business deal, on this forum or any site, the deal has to make sense to both parties. Where is the value to me or my clients if your post or any post look like spam? If post are one after another and this or any forum has that, it will naturally look like spam and in fact, worse than spam because after a day when that stops, the forum has no activity, thereby people assume it's a dead forum. While I know it would seem like fun or a good thing to get done as fast as humanly possible, where does that have any value whatsoever for me or my clients?

Ultimately yes, we aren't going to sit and check each post to make sure they are exactly 5 minutes apart, as you can imagine, that would be an unrealistic expectations, however, the rule is there for a reason, reason one of course being that having done this for some time, I know it's common place for people to think, wow, here is a chance for me to earn $25 in 10 minutes. Fact is, if someone completed the post in 10 minutes, then it has absolutely no value to me and therefore useless.

I think really it comes down to ethics. I can't tell you how many times I receive PM's or emails from people stating that they can't even do 100 post because it would look too much like spam and that's appreciated. Fact is, no one could ever justify to me why 100 post or any number of post minutes apart over the course of an hour would hold any value, it doesn't, it looks like spam and it devalues the forum and the point of forum post are to add value to a forum, hence, when posters go so far as to do their best to add value to the forum, that's ethics because that's what people are paid for.

Okay, I understand this part now but could you please raise the flood control to five minutes as I do not want to go back and check each and every post refreshing the page before I can post again?

Just look in your profile each time and it will tell you how long ago the last post was made. He probably doesnt want to set the whole forum on a five minute limit. It might piss off his regulars....

Yeah, since the forum started about 10 days ago, there is at least 50% regulars now and some have legitimate times where they would post one after another at least once in a while. Please consider, this job is paying 25 cents a post which from a benchmark standpoint is pretty high. Thanks JoyGoRound for the suggestion.

    Thanks all!

Yes, I understand that... But what I am saying is I do not wish to sit in my profile, refreshing the page until five minutes is up! I have better things to do!

Also, 25 cents per post is an average payout. I have received jobs that pay me 50 cents per post, no limitations and pay in advance!

I am not sure if I understand the point of the question?

Certainly like any job posting on DP, you have highs and lows and you are by in no way obligated to accept anyone of them. Just as if someone were offering you $1 for a site, you are free to just say no, sorry, not interested.

If you feel the rules are too strict, then please don't post, no hard feelings but those rules are in place for a reason and certainly others may not have those rules but there is a reason why unlike most here, I've managed to offer a good 20+ posting jobs in the last few months because if my goal was to make a few bucks and do some type of hit and run business, then sure, but unless you can create a business of providing your clients value and provide a fair offering too all parties, then you really aren't going to last very long in business.

Again, you are certainly free to not respond or partake in this job, certainly like most jobs on DP most don't but some do.

This was my lesson 1 in marketing: Value to customers
Good businesses are always aware of their customers' intimate needs and in turn strive to offer services and products which offer value (or at least perceived value) to the customers.
Only when customers feel that they are getting value for money will they keep coming back for more.
Let's not forget that without the customers, there would be no businesses as well. ;)

It was a fun way to use an hour's time. Not too good a pay rate if you look at it as an hourly wage, but there's more to posting than the wage.... I reckon :).

I found the five minutes to be just enough time for me to compose a thoughtful post, but before hitting the submit button I would right click, open in a new window and view my profile to check the timing. I found that only a few posts needed to be waited on before submitting, I guess I'm a slow writer. HA.
