Hey people, fyi, just a bit of basic information concerning cost figures because we have received multiple inquiries via DP from Noobs that have no idea what mailing entails. To write a complete thread on mailing, it would take 4 pages or more, so as I said I will briefly discuss budget requirements for the average bulk mailer. Keep in mind if you have funds, we can get you into it, and it isn't really that hard. If you can set up a PPC campaign and a basic website then you have the basic knowledge to get started. First of when we speak of 1MM emails, we are speaking of ta quantity of emails that can usually be sent out in 1 hour, and when discussing coreg this LLN (law of large numbers) reigns supreme. So what does it take to send out this kind of volume? 1. A server with 32 plus IP's and 2 class c's fresh every 2 months that will run around $1200/month 2. Data: 6MM email records per month or more for $2500.00 plus, also 1 week for 1MM emails is $500 and this is the smallest package we have, plus we have specialty data at $1500.00 per 1MM and up if you want more quality and less quantity. So bare minimum is $500.00, and if you don't even have a base list of 1MM plus, then you should really do a larger package in order to build one, and we could include some extra to get you up and running. 3. A Mailing software platform. We can recommend the best, but leases run around $1500.00 a month and usually $2K and up for what we suggest. Permanent Licenses are around $20K give or take $5K depending on what you are buying. So on average, even with your own proprietary system, a real Mailer (Not just permission based with Aweber) has operating expenses of around $5K plus a month. The great thing is here is that this is a fixed cost, so once you cover it, it is all profit above and beyond. This is also great for keeping out weak competition that lack funds to get started. $6K to get started is nothing as far as business start up costs run, we dropped $30K on data our first month, but hey, $6K, it's just enough to make mailing somewhat of an elite marketers choice.
