Need 1 or 2 small changes in Joomla - jomsocial component related

I have an issue with jomsocial. When someone registers, it takes them back to the home page and although a confirmation email is sent, they're not told and it looks like registration was unsuccessful. They need to redirected to a page that tells them to check their email to check for the confirmation link.

Can anyone do this? If so, please quote price and turnaround time?
