    It's a very simple process. Just download the right .zip file. Unzip and overwrite the old files.

    backup your old site first before you upgrade, try to use akeeba backup for easy use

    You might not even need to go through all of this. Within the control panel with the hosting service you're using (eg. Godaddy.com) there should be an option to upgrade to the latest release.

    Use update component available in joomla extension directory for free of cost. I will take care of all the future updates. need any help in setting up your site in new server, backup or any help related to joomla. Pm me
