    Ahhh... you were talking about the site in his sig.
    I thought you meant the site he had issued the challenge on, which is ranking well for five seo excuses.
    Smart move, building links to the domain before fleshing it out. Really helps with initial indexing - one page or none. I did the same for a site launched in late April - I got indexed in less than 24 hours. :D

    Ahhh well I did say website ....to some a blog is a website as well.... but I got handed such a large backlash for saying a blog is nothing more than a website.... that I make a differation between the two now..

    what and why all of members be a mad for 5 "Five SEO Excuses" ? i saw David Naylor was first on that postion now Digital point have a first postion....

    Hi, I saw this topic about Five SEO Excuses. What is Five SEO Excuses about? The guy that runs Five SEO Excuses is he a scammer? Anyway seeing everyone say Five SEO Excuses made me want to say Five SEO Excuses, so now I am saying Five SEO Excuses because you are saying Five SEO Excuses. From what I have read we are saying Five SEO Excuses so we can get Five SEO Excuses from digitalpoint number on google for the term Five SEO Excuses. Anyway I think have said Five SEO Excuses enough.

    A nice challenge, Tyler. I don't think it's going to be easy to get those pages back in order and at the top of the SERPs for that phrase, ever again. The more Virante try to SEO for it, the more bloggers will notice it and try to mess it up.

    It is definitely nice to get ranked well for five seo excuses. However, ranking for a single site has no novelty value as Virante had done. I wonder how long before we can see a top six from a DP member.

    You know how much this forum can help you to get traffic to your site??

    Say you made a new site about "Honalooloo travels" and working on its optimization.
    While you are working on it, just make a thread here on DP about your site using your prime keywords.
    That thread will easily outweight many sites in your direct competition for that keyword.
    People using search engine will find that thread in SERP then they come to your thread and will find info about your site so they will go to your site.

    tada....
    This will do the work till you do the SEO for your site to rank it higher in the SERP.

    I would not use DP to promote my own site on google SERPS. Sig do just fine, don't want to manipulate thread's title to get traffic.

    But i remember back in the days when there was that DMOZ Promote Child Pornography thread, it was on top of google when you typed dmoz promote child porn instead of seeing some unrelevant dmoz cats on google SERPS... I found that pretty cool,
