I received this today in an email. Never thought about this idea, but it may work for anyone that tries it. Food for Thought by Dr. Kevin Nunley Subtle Advertising I picked up a marketing book at my local library, opened the cover, and found a sticker "Donated by Iroquois Insurance Group." Since I think this a great book, I'm impressed that the folks at Iroquois apparently liked it too. This is great subtle advertising for Iroquois Insurance. People who visit libraries are often the movers, shakers, and idea makers in your community. Market to them via a tax-deductible contribution to your local library. It's personal and effective.
How much of a mover and shaker can they be if they have to borrow a book on marketing for free from the library
Not really. I belong to several book clubs and get like 10-15 books a month. When I am done reading them, I take them to the library so others can enjoy them. Movers and shakers....well, the two libraries I dealt with in Texas had governing boards made up of the movers and shakers. On just about any given day, I would see anyone from the mayor to the nicest lady lawyer I have ever met. The books donated do not have to be marketing related. Any book donated can have a nice sticker in there. I just threw this out as an idea in local marketing.
See, I think it is great, especially for books I am finished with. Great idea iowadawg, thanks for bringing it up here.
