Neanix Cheap and Realiable Web Hosting - Shared & Reseller

I am a Neanix customer. I have talked to the new owner. I too have lost all my files. This is what he said:

They sent out emails regarding the server change. People were advised to do a backup of their site in that email. However some people got that email and some did not.
On Monday the old server will be available for people to get a hold of all their files and make backups. You can give that backup to the new owner of Neanix and he will put you on the new server.

Thats what I know atm.

I know how frustrating it is. I was selling my site that was hosted on Neanix. The bids started to get to $100 and then my site was down b/c of Neanix and bids stopped. I really need to sell that site to as I need the money for a new site.

 

So why didn't the owner post here or one of the other sales thread and tell us this him self?

 

Yeah, it does seem a little strange.

I wonder who the new owner is, and the site is still down... Or it is for me...

I am sure that a majorty of people did not get the email.


It is some way that they can try to protect themselves.

If they have not provided everyone with a refund, you should be able to take legal action since they have not provided you with the service that you have paid for. (But, this depends on TOS and which country)

well i think that david oritz guy in the who.is was the first owner of it.....then he sold it to john and gareth and then it got sold on again

Hello everyone,

Here is what happened. Sorry been away haven't logged into digital point in a few days and i have responded to all pms. Gareth and i bought the company in good faith, from matt. Anyways short story matt sold it with giving david his share so i bought gareth out and worked with david just so david could have part of his company back.

Needless to say when billing came. only 20% of the clients were real clients. the rest were eigther fake or some prior agreement. Gareth can testify to the fact when we bought it was making Set ammount. and when it was drastically lower what i was told and showed when buyying. i let david have full control of the company and informed him that it just wasn't worth it and i felt really betrade.

Now he seems to not have paid the bill to keep the company up. I am praying that the company that hosted neanix didn't delete the files. If they haven't or even if they have i will be willing to host everyone on my own private server for the same rate because i do feel guility about leaving the company at such a close time to it closing. I honest assumed david was going to renew it and run it his self.

The only reason i didn't back up the clients and move them to my own company was because i assumed he was going to keep it going on his own. if i had known he wasn't going to i would have gladly moved everyone to my own company that i am starting from scratch because how ugly neanix got.

So needless to say i am trying to recover your files guys even though legally i have no claim to them because i am no longer owner of neanix. I pray the host company neanix was with holds all files for 7 days before deleting...

Btw for those clients who were with neanix i want to asure you if your hosting with me you'll never have this problem again. I am oh so sorry about all this, better yet i am sorry about the fact i have apparently vanished to be honest haven't had a computer.

Ok i just recieved a pm from Jay, of MyCoHost, good news is the sites are still on their servers. Bad news is as i guessed i have no legal claim to them. So i cant exactly help you guys. You'll have to talk to david and get him to renew it or something.

 

My sites they are also lost and I have been contacted by the co owner but still the sites aren't accessible I had database which I don't have backup all lost.

 

do we need to pay again? I bought mine at 3/mo for unmetered reseller hosting

 

i will be honoring all former orders and time frames with a free month.
I am trying to get permission to get access to the files for you guys. But i need davids expressed permission
All your files are still on the box as jay said he can only work with the true owner of neanix which is david.

 

And why is MR David not letting our files to be accessed .. This is not good..Why do we have to suffer for nothing ??

 

I have yet to speak with him.
I am not sure, he may not have the finical backing?

My name is David, and I'm the core owner of Neanix. Let me first start by saying that my username was known as different here on DigitalPoint, but a database problem occurred with my account.

I understand your frustration fully, as this has happened to me before to. I'm not going to announce what exactly happened, as that would take days.

Neanix has been under different management, staff members doing what they please. I created the Neanix domain, company, and what use to be a reputation.

I am no longer here to waste your time, nor did I attend to in the first place. This was simply because of a communication and financial problem. Again, not going to tell you the story as I don't have anything nice to say about whom i want to talk about.

Neanix servers will be up for you to collect your files and data in the next 24 hours. The servers will be up for 7 days, for you to collect all that you need.

NOW, I'm giving you the option to either stay with Neanix or move on. Your frustration with Neanix is understandable, and I could fully understand if you wanted to leave.

Upon server return, i will not only be notifying the members on DP. I will also be sending out a clientelle wide email, so that everyone can get the message to back up their stuff.

Also, that way there is no confusion of if I sent out the email or just used it as a cover up, like assumed before you will also recieve a pretty RED message in your cpanel.

I can not apologize enough for the inconvenience.

Why my account is suspended?

 

Has this issue be resolved now or is this another outstanding issue that we now have on Digital Point in which someone else may have "Scammed" many others.
