I hate how the Spurs flop around all the time trying to pick up bogus fouls. Then cry if they don't get a call. If someone used that strategy against Tim Duncan and just fell down every time he backed into them, he might score 30 points in the first quarter but he'd foul out in the second...

they made it interesting for sure cutting it to 8! that'll give them some confidence for sure in game 3.

if they can build off that and if the Spurs continue to struggle with their shooters (outside of Parker & Manu) then the Cavs have a shot in game 3.
I only recall one blatant attempt at flopping by Jacque Vahn and 30 pts would be more than enough against the cavs ;)

the king and queen of best time floppers were Stockton and Malone!

Unless Cleveland wins tonight, game #3, I smell a sweep for San Antonio. And can the media cool it about LeBron and "we are all witnesses" promos. Yeah, in games #1 and 2, LeBron found out what it is like going up against a team that knows how to play defense. I must have missed out on what we're all supposed to be witnesses of!

that's a good assessment. win tonight or they are toast.

I think at this point the Spurs could beat the East's all-star team ;)

Yeah, really. Last game's spotlight sucked. I actually found the weather network more amusing.

    TWC :D:D

it just occurred to me that the next 3 games will be about the Cav's players? I wonder if that's how they do it.

Got to be impressed with the Cavs thus far...they are just lucky SA is like 4/16 from the floor though! Can they hold them off for another 3 quarters?

This was never a series. The West, and the Spurs, are too tough.

I didn't even watch the finals this year.

The best series (and the Finals IMHO) took place already (Sun v. Spurs).

there was more than one! (maybe in another thread). Some guy tried to tell me that I was crazy - told him the Spurs would roll.

then there were a few people who picked the Cavs, wishful thinking, and that's understandable.

but that one guy :rolleyes: here we go...ha-ha

    .

pass me the bong there chief!

Anyone else find this year's Finals match-up really boring? I mean, the score was 75-72 yesterday, and the Spurs are looking to sweep the Cavs.

I agree that the best match-up so far was Suns vs Spurs.

it's a great series but only if you are a Spurs fan ;) like me :p

but then again, even I like to see some good games...can't say that last night was even close to qualifying, being(tying) the 2nd lowest scoring finals game ever!

I really didn't expect James to be dominated by the Spurs defense... I think I spoke too soon about this kid. Not only is he not the best player in this series, he hasn't even been the best player for the Cavs. Can they at least win 1 game?

at some point James might be able to dictate to any team @ anytime/anyplace, but the way the Spurs play team defense, anyone short of Jordan himself would look pedestrian against them IMO.

but he's young and the team as well so son't put too much stock into that.

their game to win was game 3...I don't see them being able to do it, win a game that is.

The NBA finals have been wretched! This type of basketball is unwatchable. Mercifully the hope is that the season ends tonight and San Antonio sweeps the Cavaliers! Where are the good old days when the Lakers and Celtics met and scores of games were 112-109 or thereabouts? 75-72 being the final score of game #3? Can you spell b-o-r-i-n-g? Like most of America I went to bed and refused to subject myself to that 2 and a half hour mess masquerading as professional basketball on the ABC network.

it was equal parts defense and horrid offences...but come on! did you really think the Cavs would even be able to keep pace?

if you expected a "good/entertaining" series, you must be watching a different sport.

    Spurs/Suns was the finals ;)
