Usability Question to all the expert Bloggers and Blog Designers: If the blog portion of your website is not the main focus of the website but a small portion would you have the "Home" link (on the blog pages) point to the blog home page or the main home page?
If the blog IS NOT the main focus of the website I would link to the main home page for "Home". You can also try to include a "Blog" link in your header too, both on your blog and main page. That way, when a user is on either the blog or main page, they have links to the blog main page and main home page.
Thanks r3dt@rget that's what I was thinking. It seems 80% (Number out of my ass) of blogs including ones that are not mainly a blog link back to the blog home page from the blog. I have always hated this myself. I just wanted to be sure it wouldn't be to confusing to the readers. Any other opinions out there?
Hi Deluxe, I agree with r3dt@rget - have your Home link poiting to your home page and add a "Blog" linkback to your blog. I would, however, hide the "Home" link whenever someone is already browsing my home page and show them the "Blog" link instead (and viceversa). What do you think?
