Hello Guys, I have purchased an outbound text link ad recently and the webmaster has placed it in the navigation menu. I was wondering if such placement is ok for the link weight. It is a repetitive sitewide link since it's placed in the navigation menu. Please share your thoughts. Thank you. P.S. I'm paying $100/month for this link so it's important it has a decent link weight.
For me this link would be the best as this link would be placed on all the pages and would pass the link juice to my website and also, my website would get more traffic due to its placement in navigation.
you purchased a link with alot of weight, and your link is on every page on the site. only in content links do weight more, but those are only displayed on 1 page.
Thank you for sharing your opinion guys. The link was placed in the "advertisement" section before he moved it to the navigation menu. I figured it wouldn't carry as much weight being in the "advertisement" section as it would be in the navigation menu. Please share your thoughts. Thank you. P.S. Google has already indexed it as in the "advertisement section". Will it gain more weight once it will re-index it in the navigation menu?
well, if you really want to know my thoughts; arn't you overspending for just one link? it could be more helpfull if you showed me your site link and the site were the link is placed. now a answer to your question, yes in the navigation menu links have more value.
