Let's make it a little harder for the left wing lunatics to discredit the concept. I don't think lefties have a problem with Wikipedia, right? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abiogenic_petroleum_origin I always had a problem with the composted dinosaur theories. It would take lots of dinosaurs to make the billions of gallons of oil that we have found. Abiogenics makes more sense.
That's a great link with some good info on the theory itself, but it's still just that: a theory. I'm not trying at all to discredit it, I'm not a scientist, but it still cannot be presented as fact. And if you were referring to me as a left wing lunatic, I'm neither.
Some right wing lunatics have problems with the dinosaur theories? Right wings have a lot of problems anyway. I have problems believing that I can talk to people through a wire.
Yes, thats is right, only the high oktane number gasoline is made from dinosaurs, the low less powerful gasoline is made from mice.
I'll admit, the world is naturally getting warmer, obviously not as fast as the environmentalists and NASA once thought, but I bet even that would stop if Al Gore would shut up and keep his hot air to himself. Sorry for just entering the topic, but what's this about dinosaurs making oil? That's not true at all (or if it is, in a minuscule amount). All of our coal comes from plant matter, and all of our oil is from accumulations of organic stuff, mainly algae and microorganisms. Even if global warming is happening (as I said above, I'm almost sure it is, though not as much as some people portray), and even if it is caused by humans (which I doubt for the most part), what's the big deal? (come on, I'm ready for answers)
One big deal is extreme weather and flodings and we all know the costs of that, financial and human costs.
massive die offs in animals that can't adapt, flooding , drought, rising sea levels etc I guess no big deal
