Naming pages and title tags

I like keyword rich domain names and I registered www.alarm-monitoring.net as my main keywords are "alarm" and "monitoring". This particular domain does not have a chance of reaching page 1 in Google for the two keywords alarm and monitoring so the best I can hope for is optimising on 3 words, for example, "securityalarm monitoring" or "home alarm monitoring".

Lets say I want to target searches for "internet alarm monitoring". Would I be best to make a page named internet.htm and give it a title of "internet ", or name the page internetalarmmonitoring.htm and give it a title of "internet alarm monitoring" ?

So far, I have always gone for the first option as the domain name already contains two of the three keywords. What would you name the page and title ?

internet-alarm-monitoring.htm is a better option IMO and the same in title.

Personally, I believe that Keyword in domain name is not very important. I am giving you a proof regarding this. Go to Google and search 'webmaster forum'. First 3 search results are v7n,digitalpoint,webcosmoforums. None of them have word 'webmaster ' or 'webmaster forum' string in the domain. Hope you get my point.

Good example, but I think you are wrong. If the niche is not so competitive, you can get on Page 1 in no time for the keyword you have in the url

What is the difference if you separate keywords in domain with dashes eg. is domain-name.com and domainname.com Which is better for seo?

i think you should remove .htm and .html etc from all of your web pages. for example like wordpress pages: example.net/page
if you do this, you can be on better ranking on all of the search engines.
