Names a trademarks with adsense

I know that if I register a domain that is someones full name or company name I can risk having this domain taken away from me. I'm not sure how this process works exactly, but I've understood it is possible that can happen.

My question however is if adsense would have any problem with it? Say if I put adsense on CompanyName.com or FamousPersonsName.com, is there any risk google will ban me from adsense since I put adsense on a domain I don't own the trademark to? I'm talking adsense for content here, not adsense for domains. There would just be a bio of the famous person on the website or information about the company combined with adsense ads.

Depends upon how actively the person or company wishes to pursue things. May not be an issue, may be a big issue.

Do you think it would be an issue with adsense though, unless the person/company contacted them? Ever heard of anyone gotten any problems with their account cause of this?

I have one such blog and contacted the company to ask if they allow me to use their brand name in the keyword. They had no problems with that. But this might differ from company to company, so before you make an investment into the website, simply ask.

Adsense don't care if you use a trademark name or not...but the company will, so ain't no point of building a site that will eventually be taken away.

My point was that if they pursue it with aggression, they may take many steps: they may contact your host, they may contact any companies advertising on your site, anything to put pressure on you. I would make sure all ducks were in a nice line before proceeding.

I have seen many who uses either adsense or Google in their domain name. The problem can be when you go out to submit application to adsense. They will never approve any such application.

The problem will also be when they get around to checking your site. They DO do random reviews. It may take a while but eventually they will get to you, or someone will let them know.

Its a gamble but it may be worth the risk if you get enough searches. I do this sometimes and worst case just end up selling the domain to the person. It is cheaper for them to buy it than hire a REAL lawyer to send a C+D. Most C+ds that are sent out are fake and just to scare you.

If the outfit is big enough they don't have to hire anyone, they have a cadre of lawyers already on hand for just such a thing. You're right though in that just selling it would be the most desirable for all parties...you basically just rented the domain for a while and kept the profits if there were any.

I can see that could be a problem using google in the domain name, for some other company or just the name of a famous person I can't see why that should be a problem with google adsense. Has anyone ever heard of anyone being banned for something like this? I don't care about loosing the domains, but my adsense account is very important.

I set these two sites up today, not with adsense yet though, want to see how easy they are to rank and the traffic. Ending up selling them after earning revenue on them for a few months wouldn't be so bad either, not planning to spend a ton of time on them.

Look up the term cybersquatting. It all depends what routes the person or company decides to take. They may see the ads on the site and figure that is the quickest route to go...who knows.
