I 've heard good things about Namecheap and it is always recommended over Name.com by most of webmasters.

I see Name.com provides better security service: NameSafe (VIP access) is free which I think is very valuable and worth to charge money for. You can also get free Privacy Whois service (not officially free but you can use coupon), or at least the price is as same as Namecheap is.

I concern about security, and I think many people do.

Namecheap does not provide one time password service.

I wonder why people are using and recomending Namecheap?

PS: I have never experienced with both Namecheap and Name.com, just a few thoughts when having a look at their websites.

I recommend namecheap because of the ease of the buying process, that would be my 1st reason also the support staff was top notch! there are many more reasons.

Actually, I use both Name and NameCheap and I've always had a great experience with both. They're different, but their staffs are supportive, friendly and always helpful whenever I run into trouble with expiry dates, technical issues and the like.

I voted for Name.com in your poll because I'm using it more often lately, but I really have no preference between the two.

As far as prices go, sometimes it's cheaper on Name, sometimes on NameCheap.

I've used name.com a few times the support used to be really good lately is it not. The people working support have been really good they just do not have enough people working to offer decent coverage.

I have never used namecheap, I might give them a try next time.

Voted for Namecheap. No experience with Name.com
I do have experience with godaddy and moniker also.
When it comes to ease of use and customer service I have a huge preference for Namecheap.

Name.com support is bit slow and you will not get reply on some specific time even in emergency time.

    - Namecheap accept 3+ payment method and I think namecheap also support 2way authentication.

I've heard great things about both of them but, in my experience with Namecheap I would have to say it is namecheap. Namecheap is probably the best domain registrar as there is no fuss nor secret contracts like NS.

Namecheap has solid reputation in the web hosting business. Also they are known for providing excellent customer suport. So i rather choose namecheap than name com.
